Shoutbox Rules [Updated: March 13 2008]

uhh..I've never used the shoutbox but still I can't bring myself too.I dunno its just makes me uncomfortable..i don't know why though.

and yes im a newbie..proud of it too^^.

There's nothing wrong with it being newbies that are mostly the ones that are using the shoutbox. But a few need to also participate in the forums more, especially one of them. Won't name names. But the shoutbox shouldn't be used for cybering. That is what real chat rooms are for. So they should try using a real chat room instead. Unless they like being exhibitionists? Sexual innuendos and even out-right acts, should not be seen in public on the front page. It's inappropriate for the members and visitors here that are under 18 years old, to see.

but im trying..though they are kinda hard to understand since im kinda on another planet in another galaxy.

no one really wants to read what they wanna do sexualy..they should save that for another time/place...

damn... so its not just me.... I find myself wishing for the good 'ol days in the sb. I used to always be in there... and now, I just tend to steer clear of it now. Especially because most of the conversations there don't make me want to go and get involved.

*sigh* i miss the days when the worst that happened in the shout box was getting excessively glomped () or tickled to death...lol

From what I've seen it's obvious that some people think that since there are now rules for the shout box - the Main Site Rules don't apply in the SB anymore. That is not the case.

It should go without saying: The Shout Box rules exist in ADDITION to the community's Terms of Service.

I truly hope this clears up any misconceptions.

As a forumer in my mid 20's and a mom, it's disturbing to see some of the younger forumers engaging in this behavior. I'm glad to see there are some extra rules pertaining to the SB. I tend to steer clear recently as well but now maybe I can come back and have some fun!

I am nearly impossible to offend (bar homophobia, which I have never seen here), so it doesn't bug me, but the crap some of the people do in there does make me stay away more. I was also miffed when I was actuallyhaving a nice conversation about anime and someone asked me to STOP discussing anime, because it was annoying. O_o I mean, come on.
