Looking for: "Yaoi/BL Related Articles"

Because the magazine is still not ready and we still have time for it, and also a few of you who are interested in writing articles for the mag... I will be opening submissions for any interesting articles regarding yaoi/BL.

What you need to do:
1) Write any yaoi/BL related stories/articles. I suggest 1 to 4 pages of article. You can submit 1 to 3 types of topics.

2) If it's a review on a certain manga or anime, just pick one only.

3) Don't write about the same topic that's been done in the past two magazines. It has to be your own original work, not copied and paste from other sites.

4) Just write it in .txt (Notepad) file, you don't have to do your own layout (we will take care of that).

5) To spice up your article, you should add some pictures to it. Simply attach it together in a picture host link (no pic limits, pls RAR or ZIP it if too many in host link). Then send both the .txt and pictures to this username ---> aarincontest

6) Closing date is: 10th Feb 2009, and you can submit each article differently if you have a few. Do NOT post your article in this thread.


How do we choose which ones to use in the mag:
1) Anything interesting, creative and understandable.

2) We do have editors to help spellcheck or touch up on some grammars just in case. We might edit/change your article slightly to fit in the mag space or suitable for the mag. But credits will be given to you (your username in this forum).

3) Please don't be dissapointed if your article isn't chosen. Even if it's not chosen, you have contributed to it and we are grateful for it. Therefore, I will be rewarding 5,000 points to 50,000 points for all submissions depending on length or creativeness.

Some ideas just to get you started:
1) Medium to long reviews on any yaoi/BL anime, manga, live movie, drama CDs, games.
2) About seiyuus who does yaoi/BL voices.
3) About certain characters who are not in yaoi/BL anime, but always slash as couples by yaoi fans.
4) About real life issues of yaoi/BL fans but still related to yaoi/BL materials in it.
5) Some lite fun activities like crosswords, personality quizzes, jokes etc.
6) Anything, everything that's good for the mag

What you should NOT do:
1) Fanfictions or original fictions, and your own artwork (because it's done for another section).
2) Togainu no chi review (it's done)
3) Interview with any artist
4) Statistics of which yaoi anime that's popular etc

Question ..... i know you said that the article would be long 1-4 pages. But thats not enough for me >_<

can you please make a line in word count, approximately at least. You can fit different amount of words with 10px or 12px on one paper, also it depends on font,etc. Thats why i want words number >_<

*cough* I want to know if I can do a "spice of life" type article? I would like to submit something about sexual encounters in Yaoi/BL/Fanfiction (not the act) but how its has evolved and impacted the anime/manga that we enjoy today. This will be completely my personal opinion, based on manga, I've read, and personal conversations with writers, readers. I will site any area I obtain additional information from as well as images from some of the anime I feel made the greatest impact.

@Chibi: Yes, I understand, I am just giving an example... you can try submitting a longer article but not too long, just judge on the length yourself (as long as it's important to the article). I can still accept it.

@Cris: Yes you can but all articles need to be read/screened first anyway. Sounds interesting though

I was wondering if an article on good places to go for yaoi/BL manga/anime/goods in Tokyo would fit the idea? I was thinking it might be nice for someone to read if they were to get a chance at a couple days in Tokyo. XD
