Sad, but I can't read japanese anyways. I do understand why they would do this but at the same time, that's really sad since I've boughten the originals because of publicity. At anime cons, I buy the originals of many manga's I liked since I like the real deal in my hands. When they get put into english, I buy them on the spot as well. Actually, I have them pre-ordered like 3 months before they come out.
I hope this isn't going to effect the other companies...

well, i hate to say it, but it's not that simple at all :/ :

    1. it takes forever for an english version to come out
    2. it takes a longer forever or an infinite NEVER for a yaoi novel to come out in polish
    3. that really isn't fun for all the people who don't have that much money to spend or can't read japanese. for me a comic book is almost an extravagance and i bet there are more people out there who can't really just go and buy everything that comes out.

it is sad, some fine mangas in this magazine.. and since i can't read what the publisher said on their webpage - do they even adress the scanlating groups?
    anyway.. pity, really.

    1. Learn Japanese or be patient.
    2. Learn Japanese or be patient.
    3. I don't understand why would people complain about missing something they can't even read. It's not publishers' fault that people can't read Japanese or afford to buy everything that comes out. These publishers only want to protect what they invest in.

People in Japan are luckier than people in English world because almost everything in English is translated to Japanese, but even so they don't buy everything that comes out.

Also, just because English world doesn't always bother to translate anything in Japanese to English, it doesn't mean it's OK for English readers to take without paying a penny.

If you want manga in English or Polish, then encourage publishers in your country to license titles that interest you personally. They will listen, especially if there is a clear indication there will be a profit waiting for them.

I do understand what you're saying, but I think it's cheeky to use lack of money and language as reasons to justify the right to take or to complain. I also don't think it's right for people to complain about something they shouldn't have in the first place. Raw scans are an illegal privilege, not a right.

    1. & 2. - i am learning <-- slowly reading raws is one way of doing it too. and having both versions helps too.

    3. im not saying you are not right, but to get a manga in polish is even more difficult than in english - there's considerably less profit there.
and about the privilege, i am aware of that, and the only point im making really is that it's a pity that the publisher thinks an internet community sharing their manga as a harm to their bussiness. i know not everyone will buy a manga they have read on the net, but some sure will.

i do think this could be a longer discussion, but i guess we do agree that it a bit sad that they are taking their stuff away.
