Hmm I'll admit this has to be one of my favourite yaoi mangas. The story is fun and well done and you quickly get pulled into the plights of the characters. Ayase is typical uke however, Kanou has got to be one of the best semes I've read. Instead of the typical cool guy, he has a ridiculous temper and much of his internal dialogues and interactions with others are simply hilarious. The art style is also really well and the story is solid. My only complaint would be Ayase and the number of times he gets into trouble. There seems to be no limit on how often he gets groped, grabbed, molested, almost raped...come on this gets old after the first three times or so. Still I like his character development probably the most in this manga as he gradually goes from timid to more confident and willing to stand up for himself. Many of the supporting characters are also really well done and each one has a distinct personality and aren't just background props. Overall this really is a fun read and although I do get tired of Ayase being molested, seeing Kanou run to his rescue makes it worth it. Dare I say...I almost want Ayase to get into trouble just to see Kanou show up. This really is a lovable story with great characters.

My main complaint with this one is the art style. The characters have exceedingly long limbs that make them look rather odd while being too angular. Other than that its very sweet and filled with lots of angst. If you've seen Zetsuai then you should expect that somebody is going to get hurt. While the angst borders on being overdone it doesn't quite tip over. One can't help but sympathize with the characters and on many occasions I couldn't help but sniffling a bit. The story really does pull at your heart strings after seeing how much the characters go through. It's a beautiful story and the plot is really well executed. While I've heard people complain about how dramatic this is, I still say it deserves a watch. It's a good meld of love and the struggles, misunderstandings and misfortunes that is endured in any relationship (although I don't think any normal relationship goes through that much) heheh.
