Kitty-punch FTW!!!

"Ren-chan", as he is adressed by most students, is actually the infirmary-sensei of the school. He has a secret crush on the well known model "Midori", in fact, a male. One day he finds out, that Midori is one of the students, a first year on top of that! To make things even worse, Midori is actually hitting on him... In the spur of the moment, Ren promises Midori to show him what "love" really means, as he is pissed because the youth "daclares love too often nowadays". Midori takes him by his word and not long after, Ren chan gets acknowledgedas "bride" even by Midori's family...
From then on, the "kitty" fights for his life... or is it "love" I wonder ;-)

The rating could have been better, and maybe it really is, but this is just my opinion and for my likings, the art was too messy... The plot gets a four as it is really nice, but nothing high-class. The characters were really something! Midori's family alone gets a 10 out of five and the main characters were well-formed too.

All in all, this is a funny manga, recommended for everyone to read it a tleast once xD

Reading this makes you want moaaaaar

Kabutani really is one hell of a player... Feasting off human energy (through body liquids), he tends to have sex with several girls, cause being happy makes them taste better.
Meeting Kiriyama, he suddenly realizes that this guy tastes the best! So, hitting on Kiriyama day for day, Kabutani gets the illusion that from now on, he'll get all he wants. Kiriyama, on the other hand, can't stand Kabutani molesting him, because he believes that "H things" shuld only be done with the one you love... As Kabutani is well known for being a playboy, Kiriyama is disappointed by the boy's behaviour...

The art is pretty and highly recommended, what I really like about the characters is that they never seem OOC, Kabutani has this egoistic, good-for-nothing attitude all the time and Kiriyama is not comparable to all those girlish, whiny ukes, because he really defends his pureness (and even after, he revenges it *lol*)
Of course, the plot revolves more around sex (and body liquids) than around anything else, but combined with this admirable characters, it's still worth a read!

Bittersweet, yummy and full of love ;-)

Pure angel love!

This is one of my most favourite angel-themed manga!
Sakuya, a young angel who has fallen in love with a human, breaks the next taboo as he goes down to earth.
There, he wants to help his love who is terminally ill, by staying by his side and by supporting him. Of course, Shirou get's very irritated that an angel wants to live with him (for the sake of "finding his lost halo") but the other angels are even more shocked.
They know that Sakuya ignored two laws of the angels and want him to go back.

Everyone doubts, everyone suffers, everyone lies. Where's the happy end to that?

Answer is: Find it out yourself! The manga is not really angsty, just a lil bittersweet story about love between two that should not be in love.

The art style is pretty decent, the story has a nice pace, despite the large number of characters (it looks like rushing things but imo it isn't), the main couple gets enough attention and is nicely developed.

Quite a nice read!

Unique! Definitely worth a read!

Alright, Yu is exceptional in every way. He does not only have another personality but two of them! Kaname and Ryo both want to protect their "main personality" (or whatever you may call him), but in fact, they all want to live their own lives.
This resulting in the fact, that "Yu's" body never really sleeps. Two alter egos sleep while the third does what he likes. But what happens when Yu wants to have more time for himself and starts to go out with a nice guy?!?!
Even worse, what would happen if everyone of them got their own boyfriend?!?! o_O

As expected, it's all haywire!

Watching the three (with their partners "six") men going wild and fighting for their "private lives" is really fun though you should not expect a first-class storyline.
But the fun and the art do really make up for that! The three alter egos are very diverse and so are the personalities of thier partners.
Take a look at this manga, you won't be disappointed!

Mitasareru Kuchibiru - one-of-a-kind

Every time I read this manga, it makes me cry...

Takashi is a shy boy, ignored and avoided by everyone at his new school. On the other side there is Tatsuyuki, his brother, who is the most popular third-year and admired by both students and teachers. He always helps and supports Takashi, who suffers from low self-esteem. But, wait!... Is it really that way?
Or is it rather Takashi's meeting with Kurose, that leads to the young boy becoming fledged?! In addition to that, Takashi realises, that Kurose shows him not only a new kind of world, but also new kinds of feelings. Caught in the constrictions of all these different kinds of relationships, the shy boy no longer knows what to do...

Of course, Mitasareru Kuchibiru is a (boys-) love manga, but as given by the story line, it's also full of angst. The plot is amazing and should not be compared to other "standard" High School BL manga, the art style is quite to my liking and the characters are all very diverse.
This manga is unique in every way!

Nothing left to say... just keep your tissues with you!

Probably Sugiura's best!

I'm really a fan of sensei's works, but this one gets more and more unique with each volume!

Prior I'd like to mention that the German publisher "Carlsen" is way farther than Tokyopop* (or the scanlations) and my review is based on the first 12 volumes.
Well, first I'd love to point out, that some people think the story would be developing far too slow. Actually, that's not the case! The storyline is just so complex that the development needs some time (and pages) as every single thread of the story needs to be told!

Further, on to the story. Chigusa's world is doomed to get devastated as all the plants wither. Rakan, being a Sanome, who helps plants to grow again, seems to be Chigusa's only hope. Naturally, Rakan's existence is unwanted by some, this leading to a lot of danger for the two.
Still, Chigusa develops deep feelings for Rakan, what undeniably leads to the shounen-ai aspect of the story. The hints are subtle (well in Chigusa's case... more or less) in the beginning but after volume 10, the love sure is obvious enough to please everyone!

The humor is outstanding and never gets boring, same goes for the art!

All in all, Silver Diamond is a beautiful manga for those who appreciate a good plot and persuasive characters.
This manga is not finished yet, but it's a promising one!

Heart-wrenching but cute

This manga is another of the bittersweet ones.
Hirofumi regains his memory (lost in an accident) after two years, this resulting in the loss of the memories of the past two years!
When he finds out that he had a relationship with Daigo, a guy, he's shocked, BUT he finally freaks out when he finds a letter from his old self, pleading him to take care of Daigo.
That's the reason why the whole manga is focused on Hirofumi. His thoughts, his memories, his compromises and his struggles in his new life are well shown. Of course, most of the time, Hirofumi interacts with Daigo, also showing what HE thinks of all that...

All the characters' personalities are impressive but still subtle (even of the minor characters) so the whole story seems well composed. The kisses suffice, the tears are overwhelming, what do you need more? (Well, tissues in that case ;-))

As this story is very inventive and unique, you shall not pass this manga without reading it!

Totally worth reading!

This bittersweet manga is one of my favourites!

The art and the scanlations can't be judged by the first volume, both get better! What does not get better (for those who find it disturbing/lacking) are the pace of the story and the love scenes. The strong point of the manga sure is the story, concerning (as the volumes go on) two couples in love with all their hardships and good times. You won't see many kisses though as the hints are small and well hidden.
Another good points of the manga are the humor and the sweetness when the characters are interacting.
Most of their background stories get told, the character's actions are understandable and their different personalities are all lovable.
...hmmm, maybe apart from the "bad ones" ... and rest assured, there are some!

To sum this all up: This manga is a masterpiece!
Only negative point(s): Lack of obvious BL-scenes/kisses and a rather slow developement.
(And it's not fully scanlated 'til now, though SiH are working on it.)
