One of the best anime/mangas ever created!
Even though it's not necessarily the most original of plot lines, (for example hanakimi [hanazakari e kimitachi o] although Haruhi does not intend to look like a boy.) it is still amazing, the artwork is top rate, and the sub plots (each episode) are truly unique.
The characters are well thought through, and all fit in perfectly with each other, even though they all have different personalities everything seems to flow. The host club itself is a very interesting idea, and the characters do fit it very well. Learning the back-stories to all the characters can at times be heart-rendering.
The twins (Hikaru & Kaoru) have an amazing bond, (not only to make their fangirls squeal), Tamaki & Kyouya seem to have a fantastic rapor (even though they don't show it at times) and Honey & Mori are self explanitory. Even if Mori didn't feel his duty was to serve Honey, he still would, he is able to tolerate Mitsukini's (Honey's) mood swings, and still be slightly in charge of him.
Haruhi completes the group, getting on well with everyone, and she brings out sides in every character you wouldn't normally see.
Overall it is fantasitc & I would recommend it to anyone (:
