Honestly, the description says it all. Splash a little BL into the right anime cliches and off you go. Like Inu-yasha and Bleach? You'll probably enjoy this too; while it offers nothing new, it is fairly well executed and features self-consistent characters. Rating is middling because enjoyment depends on tastes.

Beautiful and dramatic, although it does not age quite as gracefully as many other non-BL anime. The plot itself suggests R&J with touches of master/slave themes and none-too-subtle caste tension, a classic storyline--yet not for all tastes. Based on a novel, the narrative of the OVA strains the confines of the time allotted.



Regardless, the intricate storyline and themes are far beyond the scope of most yaoi PwP works. Recommended for drama-lovers, although those less attached to the emotional tension might find it a bit over the top (Much like R&J itself)
