Chasing for love

The art is great, so to say. The environment is detailed, and most of all: The men look like men. I personally hate it when a character who's displayed as the uke just looks like a girl in disguise. But in Love Control all the characters manage to both look like men and be beautiful.

The characters are as deep as is neccessary for the story. You get to know them enough to be able to like them without thinking of them as fictional characters; they seem real.

And I like the plot. It feels as if everyone keep chasing each other all the time.

In volume one the main couple is Okawa x Kei; both proud and a bit stubborn, while in volume two we're also introduced to Sasatani and Ichinose.

Between Okawa and Kei it's like a game; who can play who? Their relationship starts out as a workrelated one, but when the job is finished it's time to admit to some feelings that's been growing between them. Pride and stubborness as their limits and if Okawa and kei don't follow their hearts they might lose something more important than pride.

Ichinose, whose first name is also Kei,is a bit dense, but that's also one of the things that makes him so likeable.

Sasatani works as a bartender at the place Okawa owns (and which Kei helped design) and there's also where he and Ichinose first met.

As Ichinose tries to win Sasatani's heart, Sasatani plays hard to get; perhaps not even realizing his feelings till it's almost too late. But sasatani; when he's fallen for someone; he's stuck.

In the end, who's chasing who?

sweet and funny

Junjo Romantica is one of few animes that I've actually been able to watch several times, over and over.

There are three couples; Usagi x Misaki, Nowaki x Hiroki, and Miyagi x Shinobu. They're all different characters and quite special in their own ways.

Usagi is probably the one I like the best; the lonely rich kid who became a writer (he writes BL-novels too XD). He and Misaki makes a perfect couple. Misaki seems to be one of few too really understand Usagi. Though it annoys me (as well as it annoys Misaki) that people keep saying that they can't understand how Misaki can stand being with Usagi. He's not a bad person, not at all.

If you don't like there being a certain difference in age between the characters, then Miyagi and Shinobu might not sit right with you. If I remember correctly Miyagi is 17 years older than Shinobu. It didn't bother me at all though. The way Shinobu keeps talking about destiny in the seasons of the anime (as well as in the manga)was something I found more annoying. They make a good couple actually. And I think Kazuhiko Inoue as Miyagi is just perfect; it was just as I imagined his voice to be reading the manga.

Nowaki and Hiroki... Well, I sometimes found Hiroki a little bit annoying (though he's adorable when he's finally honest to Nowaki with his feelings) and Nowaki sometimes seems a bit slow, but I suspect he's just too kind really.

The animation is great and the OP and EP is good too. Two of the opening lines "Sono te o hanasanaide" and "boku ga soba ni iru yo" has stuck in my head. It really fits the series.

I hope there will be a season 3 as well... sometime in the future..hopefully.
