Cassie821's Review

I found the manga very hilarious. Izaki was so funny, and his snarky comments always made me laugh. His drive and competitive spirit is somthing must people can relate with, and so we understand why he is so frustrated at the fact that Hakamada, seems to always excel at everything he does, while he (Izaki) needs to put in more efforts to succeed. This is something must people can empathize with, as we all know how much it sucks when we work extremely hard, only to see someone who does what we do with way less effort.

Izaki's jealousy is quite amusing, especially when it is realized that Hakamada actually does like him, and it is just his shy nature that is getting in the way. I found it very sweet that Hakamada and Izaki ended up together even though there has been a long case of misunderstanding between the both of them.

Quite a number of scenes are very hilarious, especially the way it Izaki always seems to wake up after having sex with Hakamada or during sex itself, and has no recollection of how he got there. Makes you laugh at how Hakamada had to use stealth to get the man he has been in love with since their school times. Lol.

Cassie821's Review

This is a manga filled with lots of drama, but the comedy, hot guys and the hot, steamy sex present in it makes up for some of the unnecessary angst. But then again, the angst is understandable as Asao is 17 and Takamura is way older. What is hilarious sometimes though is how insecure Takamura is sometimes, especially when he begins to doubt the feelings Asao has for him or when he is just plain silly and insecure. His belief that Asao does not really like him puts him in such a state of despair that sometimes you don't know if you should laugh at him or feel pity for him. The mangaka therefore is able to prove that no matter how old or mature you are or you think you are, when you are in love, you are as insecure as a new born babe.

It is touching and sweet when it is discovered that Asao's music teacher who he has never forgotten is actually Takamura, and Takamura most certainly has not forgotten Asao, nor has he ceased to have the younger man's (or in this case boy's) interests at heart. Which is really sweet.

Cassie821's Review

Well, I didn't find Ousama Game as amazing as Oujisama Game unfortunately. The story line reminded me of an Harlequin/Silhouette novel, where the guy is a complete asshole, and the girl takes his bs and at the end of the story, there's a resolution of everything, and it is discovered that the there is a reason why the guy was such an ass. Please, it is to avoid storylines like that I fell in love with Yaoi. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I still cannot run away from such storylines. I found that very annoying.
Ouga was an annoying king, and he kept on pissing me off, and Renge just took all he dished out, but still forgave him when he discovered that Ouga has a "good heart", and he was merely acting that way because Renge had told me to do so when they were both kids. Please. Okay, maybe I am just pissed that Ouga didn't suffer well enough at the resolution of the whole affair. Lol.

The other chapters of the story were much better than the first three chapters, and I loved the interactions between the other princes. I especially loved the story of Airi and Homura. Yes, there is the whole incest present, but that just helped to make the story even more interesting.

As usual, the drawings of the characters was amazing, as even though I disliked Ouga, he was still a smoking hot king. Lol.

Cassie821's Review

The comedy was amazing as I found myself laughing at the siliness of the Princes, especially the first prince Ryuuen and the way he simply frustrated his boyfriend Sieran. It's not everyday afterall that the person you were sent to assassinate does not take you seriously, but instead turns everything into a game of seduction. Lol.

The plot progressed nicely, the characters, even though they appeared for quite a short period of time all underwent some growth. Still talking about the characters, the drawings of the characters was beautifuuly down, as everyone of them was smoking hot. A very important element in a manga. Lol.

Finally, I loved the fact that each of the stories in the manga were interesting. From the first chapter to the last. There was no boring story in the middle, or at the end. Rather, from the beginning of the manga, I am held captive to the very end. It's indeed a Wonderfully done manga.
