Tokyo Babylon

This is a super anime/manga. I love it to bits. It's about a young teenager named Subaru who is the 13th head of the Sumeragi clan. He goes about his normal duties protecting Tokyo while nobody but his sister Hokuto, Seishirou and his grandmother who was the previous head of his family.

There are many comedy scenes as Hokuto tries her best to get Subaru and Seishirou as a couple. Each time she tries Subaru gets more and more uncomfortable to what she is doing. Eventhough they are twins they have different personalities and opinions. Seishirou made a promise to Subaru when he was only a child that if he happens to fall in love with Subaru within a year of being with him that he will not kill Subaru but this is harder than done.

Reasons why i love this are as follows;
1. Hokuto and her wise jokes, each time she comes up with more whacked ideas which places more fun to the manga.
2. Subaru shows alot of courage while he excorcise each demon and spirit that appears.
3. Drama is really one of my top options.
4. The plot is really cool and i think it's one yaoi kinda base that i like most with comedy and so forth.
5. I really like the art used either on manga or the OVA. Both really appealed to me best.

About the OVA. My taughts;
Well i saw it both dubbed and subbed and tbh i hate the dub. Subaru's voice was kinda off and really squeaky. I prefered the subbed coz the voice suited really well and it made it more funny and nice to watch.

For first time yaoi fans i'd advice them to start with this anime or even read the manga since it doesn't contain sexual scenes and the yaoi is as bad as everyone says coz it contains alot of comedy

Tokyo Babylon

I like this OVA. The animation may be old, but it's classic.

The OVA has only 2 episodes, but it's enough to tell what is partially going on with the Sumeragi twins and Seishirou as they live their daily life in the city of Tokyo. Subaru Sumeragi is the 13th head of the Sumeragi clan, and he is a high level skilled exorcist. His older twin sister, Hokuto, keeps things in check with him. Seishirou is a vet, yet he has an air of mystery to him.

The OVA takes in two cases that deals with mysterious murders. Subaru gets involved with them, and he has neared death a few times. He was saved by Seishirou. In the last episode, a mysterious past creeps on Subaru, and it's a haunting memory as well.

I would rate higher, but this OVA seems to leave things unturned for the most part. It's not bad to have a cliffhanger, but it makes the viewer think, "what happens now?"

Personally, I very much like this anime, but the manga is also just as good because it's more on the 'complete' side. The anime only have 2 long episodes but it holds just about everything you need to know about the story and it's plot (or if you can actually 'see' it). The anime don't contain hard yaoi but the manga implies yaoi/boy love.

I liked it right away because Subaru is such a girl (when he's not) :D and then where is Seishirou, the man with two sides. This is great show with a bit of a sequel in X the T.V. show. But if you don't want to be lost in the dark at the end, I'd recommend that you read the manga. At least the manga can provide enough of an ending for you to be satisfied.

Anyways, I think you'd enough this along with X the T.V. as well as reading the manga.

The first and seconds OVAs both show the dynamics of Subaru's and Seishirou's relationship. Whenever Subaru is in danger - and conveniently unconscious so he can't see - Seishirou becomes VERY protective and kills whoever has hurt his dear Subaru. Of course, there are loads of scenes where you can see Seishirou teasing Subaru with Hokuto's full support.

Though the art isn't that good, the story more than makes up for it.
