Cassie821's Review

This is a manga filled with lots of drama, but the comedy, hot guys and the hot, steamy sex present in it makes up for some of the unnecessary angst. But then again, the angst is understandable as Asao is 17 and Takamura is way older. What is hilarious sometimes though is how insecure Takamura is sometimes, especially when he begins to doubt the feelings Asao has for him or when he is just plain silly and insecure. His belief that Asao does not really like him puts him in such a state of despair that sometimes you don't know if you should laugh at him or feel pity for him. The mangaka therefore is able to prove that no matter how old or mature you are or you think you are, when you are in love, you are as insecure as a new born babe.

It is touching and sweet when it is discovered that Asao's music teacher who he has never forgotten is actually Takamura, and Takamura most certainly has not forgotten Asao, nor has he ceased to have the younger man's (or in this case boy's) interests at heart. Which is really sweet.

A sexy story filled with misunderstandings

This manga brings to mind how unreliable our own memories may possibly be. We see a couple that met long ago, a situation that Rin recalls but that in his memory is not related at all with his teacher, Takamura. The mangaka shows us a relationship that begins with blurred recollections, continues through a sexual liaison, develops with jealousy feelings, and consolidates thanks to the mutual understanding of what each member of the couple expects from the other one. The main source of estrangement and conflicts between the two characters is the lack of confidence that goes along with the inexperience of the first love.
Regarding the art, Takaku-sensei has a very fluid style, where every factor depicted seems to be frozen in the middle of a movement, giving the impression that at any moment said motion will resume gracefully.
Taken as a whole, this is a manga that gives you insight about how two persons deal with what love is all about.
