I cannot believe this has not been reviewed before! I read this a long time ago (two years? three?) and never deleted the file from my harddrive - which must have meant something, considering I deleted almost everything except for what I really loved. And this was included, and as I learned yesterday, for good reason too.
The character development, in terms of their affections (or lack thereof) and strangely messed up relationship, slowly build's up delightfully. There's no unpleasant sudden!random!gratuitous! yaoi sex which for me, often deters from the plot. The interactions between the two main characters, Touji and Natsume are dynamic and amusing, with Natsume's dry snark and Touji doggedly devoted to just spending more time with him. Though the story is lighthearted and very much fun, there is almost a poignancy you don't except from manga at all, much less yaoi manga.
For a manga with an extremely kinky premise (let me tell you now that I KNOW this is the reason I bothered with it in the first place and boy was I disappointed... for around ten seconds) there is nothing of the sort, and when there is sex, it's done artfully and WELL.
The art itself is pleasant in it's own, scratchy way.
Rated for being the most realistic portrayal of a gay relationship I've seen. xD
