Ki Mama ni Tanteigyou is so sweet and simple. Since it's limited to just a one-shot, it's straightforward so the dialogue might seem a bit unnatural. However, the plot of the story makes for a perfect one-shot (but I'd love to see it continue and expanded into a multi-chapter manga). The art is fantastic, very beautiful and the main characters are lovable (if you like the clumsy, dumb uke and long haired, aristocratic boss-seme). xD There's no explicit content, just a sweet story to enjoy and to relax to. It's this kind of story that makes us believe in the good in life. There’s no real yaoi or shounen-ai content until the last page, like the icing on a cake or the cherry on top of an ice cream. It makes us readers want more and more. It sets up for a real relationship, making me wonder if the manga artist has plans to continue it if she had time.
Overall, it’s such a sweet manga, I wish it could turn into a drama or a short movie (definitely Korean Antique Bakery-esque). The story could definitely be expanded into multi-shot, though, so I hope sometime in the future someone would be interested in creating something similar to it.
